February is undeniably a busy time of the year at the Union County United Way. More specifically, this month features two important: the annual Allocations Night and Awards Celebration. The former takes place on February 10th at the Lewisburg High School from 5:30-8:30 PM. For those unfamiliar with this event, it offers our partner agencies the chance to present their 2010 initiatives. Panels featuring UCUW board members and community volunteers then evaluate the proposals and determine how to allocate the United Way’s resources. Once again, we will be teaming up with the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way to host Allocations Night.

Later in the month, we will be hosting our annual Awards Celebration. This year’s event takes place on February 22nd at the Lewisburg Hotel from 7:30-9:00 AM. As in its previous incarnations, the breakfast is intended to celebrate the dedicated work of our supporters throughout the 2009 campaign season. While our entire team will be honored, awards will be handed out to select individuals for their impressive accomplishments. Overall, this promises to be an exciting month for the Union County United Way.
