Health Care Forum ‘09: Informing the Community

Posted on November 19, 2009

Last Saturday (11/7), the Union County and Greater Susquehanna branches of the United Way teamed up to sponsor an informative health care event at Lewisburg’s Campus Theatre. Following a brief cocktail reception, attendees viewed a powerful documentary on the dangers and inadequacies of the health care system in the United States. After this stirring examination, they were treated to a fascinating panel discussion, which featured health care professionals and Bucknell professors. During the discussion, attendees were also able to ask their own questions. Overall, the event proved to be extremely informative and invaluable to many citizens. Health care is hot debate topic at the moment, and it’s important that each and every individual stay informed. Finally, I would like to thank Bucknell Food Services for catering the event, GlobeMed for their tireless assistance, our generous panel participants, the kind Campus Theatre staff, and our friends at GSVUW. This event would not have been possible without you.
